Just finished the latest gadget - a guide for drilling 32mm shelf pin holes with the OF1400. The video shows the maiden voyage:

Here are a few photos of the parts.

It also works as a guide to route a dado for a cabinet back if the spring plunger is retracted:

Dust collection is 100%. The 40mm guide ring is large enough to use a bit to bore hinge cup holes. I still need to made a couple stops to index the offset for the panel ends.

Thanks for looking.

Very cool!  It would probably be pretty easy to get some 5mm pins long enough to go through the extrusion and into the hole to reference longer runs too making the 2 foot piece work for longer sections.  I also like your 80/20 risers...adds a lot of extra clamping capabilities to the MFT/3.

Very nice  [big grin] how did you accurately drill the holes in the rail , with some sort of jig on a pillar drill ?

Yes, a jig on a small Chinese milling/drilling machine. Drilled the first hole clear thru the track and into the jig itself, removed the t-track & pressed a 5mm pin into the hole in the jig. Using the milling table cross-slide moved the jig 32mm. Each time I drill a hole I move that hole to the pin and drill the next one.  Turned out to be remarkably precise, kind of (pleasantly) surprised me.

Thanks,

RMW
