I don't know if this belongs here or not but I couldn't see a better place to post it.

I think I know the answer to this but I was just wondering what you guys would do. I set up my MFT/3 and when I do the 5 cut check, the last cut is 17.6mm on the far end and 17mm on the near end. Dividing that by 4 gives me out of square by .15mm or 0.01" on a 14" cut. Would any of you try to tweak that closer or would you leave it as is?

Leave it. You'll drive yourself crazier than you all ready are chasing that small of a variance.

For the past year I had been spending an inordinate amount of time just to get things square, including setting up the MFT. I read a post about checking your square by reversing it along a straight edge. Sure enough, my big steel framing square was out by about a 1mm in 600mm - actually, probably I should halve that to 0.5mm in 600mm. Bought a new square and everything is sweet.
