Previously I had collected all my Pocket Screw jigs, screws, and clamps into a Sys 2 T-loc. I wanted a way of mounting my K5 Kreg jig without needing a board that would be loose and not able to fit inside my already crowded Systainer. [embarassed]
so, I bought me a Sys MFT, and removed the lid, then removed the Sys 2 lid, swapping them over. Next, I figured out where I wanted the K5 to sit on the MFT, and then drilled and installed 4 threaded inserts for 8-32 screws just below the surface.
Now I have a secure worktop for the Kreg Jig, and I can open the Systainer while the jig is bolted up.
Once I'm done, all the jig parts go back into the Sys 2, and I still have an MFT top to work with as needed for other things.
Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with the empty Sys 1... [wink]

I don't remember where I bought these tiny inserts since I would usually be working with larger ones whenever I might need to install a threaded insert, but they came in handy.

The Kreg Clamps were perfect for removing and installing the hinge pins of the Systainers. Who knew?....... [blink]

True, but I already have all the pocket screws stored inside the Sys 2 since Mc Feely's provided a nice plastic divided box a few years ago with a loaded assortment of pocket screws. However, you're probably on to something, as moving the screws over to the Sys 1 will make the Sys 2 lighter, and I won't have to unload all the jig and clamps off the top of the McFeely's kit to access them.  GREAT IDEA>>>>> Sparky!!!!!!!!!!!!    [thanks]

Now if I could just find out where to get some of those pins, I'd be set.  I have a couple that were damaged and need replacing but can't seem to find where to buy them.  [unsure]

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

.  Thanks Seth.  Swapping the lids was a learning experience as well since I've heard it's hard to remove the support bar in the rear of the Systainers that use one without damaging an end.
The hinge pins were pretty easy with the right tools.

. I'd post this in the Ask Festool section, they might know. Otherwise, a Tanos Dealer could help, or maybe Festool's Parts Catalog on-line can shed some light.

You can get them from Festool. The part number for T-Loc 1-5 is 700574. Probably a couple of dollars each.

Thanks Garry, it's nice to know that the pins, and that rear support bar piece are available as service parts for a Systainer. I will say that once you get the bar out, and then the pins, putting it back together is so much easier since you can leave 1 pin out and fit the bar fully, then push the last pin back into place. At least it worked for me.  [smile]

Yeah, the stiffener gets in the way of removing the pins. Using the Kreg clamp to push them out is a neat idea. I've removed them a bunch of ways. Most recently (if stiffener is out of the way) is to give them a smack with a mallet. The pin will shoot right out. Just be prepared to stop its travel through the air  [wink]
