Somewhere I posted a picture of this SysCart I made out of an extra Tanos lid but I couldn't find the thread. Anyways some of you guys asked for more pictures so here they are.

You know those times when you stop and think "why did no one ever think of that? Why did I never think of that?" One of those moments...  [big grin]

Smart stuff.

Agreed!

Brilliant idea, well done.

I'm curious; if you were to fit the lid on a systainer base, could you still open and close the lid without fouling anything?

Do you think a SYS-MFT lid would add any strength?

Great idea again.

I'm not sure the MFT lid would add all that much more strength. A Systainer lid is already very solid and sturdy because of its design and the type of plastic used.

As far as your open and close question, I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean, sorry  [blink] sometimes my brain doesn't work right haha.

Sure, no problem, I may have been less clear myself.

What I mean is, if you reattach the lid to a systainer base, will the lid open and close with the wheels and wood still attached?

I gotcha now. And the way I made it, no, it wouldn't. But after looking at everything I see that I could cut back the wood frame a small amount to make it work.

Here's a picture of how I think it would work...

Excellent.  I'm quite taken by your idea.

Lets say during the day you latched the systainer base to the top of your systainer stack and used it as a sort of SYS-TB to just throw things in and remove as you like, then at the end of the day you wheel everything back in to the van or whatever and clip the lid with wheels back to it's base and slide it back into it's slot on the van shelves, nothing moves about then.

Maybe attaching a piece of wood to the underside of a Sortainer or SYS-Sort permanently and then attaching wheels to that so that becomes the permanent wheeled base.  It truly retains the systainer profile then.

Thank you for your ideas.
