Tab interference in close dominos

Dear Festoolys..
I'm making a door frame using 80x28 stock.
I'm cutting two 10x50mm mortices. Due to the closeness of the mortices the black spring tab fouls in the first cut hole and causes the second cut to misalign.
Ideas?

I'm assuming you're not using the paddles to set the plunge, if so you can tighten the small hex screw to lock them in place out of the way.

Just look at the side of the paddle and you'll see it.

That tab can be recessed to stay out of your way.

Look closely at the paddle tab and a recessed hex screw will reveal itself.

Push in the paddle tab, then turn the hex screw to keep the tab in place.

Use a 2mm hex wrench, is what my memory says.

Very happy to help! I also found this pic that ChuckS on the forum here posted a while back that shows it nicely!
