I had a issue with one of my tools. Not doing what I bought it to do. Thinking it was operator error,  I called TTS .

I was told we'll sort it they would get back to me.

I called my dealer  and talked to them and was told, We'll sort it.

Then about 2 hours later It was sorted.

I was a tad concerned because it was out of the 30 day return policy.

I  couldnt believe how they went out of their way to sort this issue.

Most companies would of sent me down the river.

But thats what sets festool apart.

Great customer service along with great tools.

What was the problem with the tool?

Simply I bought the wrong accessory fence for the CMS. I made the mistake, held on to it past the 30 day guaranty and they still took care of me by replacing it with the proper one.

I thought it was awesome.

Dont get that kind of service normally in the states.

The manuf usually leaves it up to the merchant to sort.

Both Festool and Mick at TOOL FIX took care of me.

EDITED TO CHANGE NAME OF DEALER

When you mentioned the CS70 Stopper (Rip Fence) in your original post I just assumed you had the MFT/3-VL for the CMS. Sounds like you had the CMS-GE and Festool/Toolfix replaced the CS 70 LA Stopper for the CS 50 LA one instead. Good on them.

I've had a similar situation With Festool Australia in regards to my EHl65 that i bought a few days before the new one was announced.

Since we don't have the 30 day policy here in Australia and i had already used the planer 2 days before discovering the release of the new model i thought i was out of luck and had to live with it.

But prior to buying the EHL65 i had enquired about the new model and no information was forth coming from Festool and hence decided to buy the current model.  Disappointed at what had happened after making specific enquires i sent then an e-mail after a few weeks since i couldn't let it go.

I explained what had transpired in my e-mail and to my surprise they offered to change my EHL65 to the new version.  I was very grateful to them for their service and they have garnered much more respect from me for their actions.

SORRY MEANT  TOOL FIX , it was early when I typed it.

I too had a great experience with Festool UK yesterday, following Joiner1970s I contacted them to find out about a missing voucher. Jenny at TTS took her time out to chase up and find out what happened and really sorted me out.

I can't believe someone took their time out to chase up a voucher for me, when in the past I have had more serious issues with other power tools such as Bosch and Makita and people haven't even got back to me. The customer service was amazing.

Thanks to Joiner1970 too for his advice, I wouldn't have contacted them otherwise.

Now I have a nice voucher to buy a CTL 26 or maybe a rotex. There's no-one else I'd like to give my hard-earned to after this experience. Now where to buy from?? Any advice?

Our local Festool guy is Barry at Alloa Tool hire.
All staff are very helpful but Barry knows the product inside out.
All my green stuff has come from there and I've been able to negotiate a bit here and there but service is very good.
He has an eBay shop, I'm sure it's something like OptimaAHC?
Tell Barry I referred you if you decide to speak to him it might be to my advantage come the next green fix.
Cheers
Scott
