Thoughts on Woodpecker DF 50 Offset Base System?

Without explanation, I don't see why it's cumbersome. Once installed, it actually looks easier to use and has multiple applications. I guess I can see that if you switch between types of tasks on conscecutive jobs, it might not be worth the time to install, but that is true with most of the accessories. With the SCG, for example, unless you are doing repetitive work consecutively, it's a bit difficult to take on and off quickly. Don't get me wrong, it's a great, accurate accessory and I use it and love it. Just saying . . .

First, this is Rich from Woodpeckers. I have to admit to being less than competent at participating in these forums. I actually did respond to 3 or 4 questions last week but now see none of those actually got posted. Not sure what happened. Anyway, regarding alignment and screw hole clearance, the flat head/counter sunk type mounting screws make this a mute point. Symmetry of the mounting holes in the base of the Domino can be an issue in theory. However our measurements show the holes in the Domino being accurately located. My guess is all the key features in the base are machined in one setup to minimize the risk of location errors.
