I like everything about the Trion except the difficulty of seeing the cut line from anywhere but directly in front. The size, weight, compactness, and the feel of the handle are all better to me than the carvex.
I got the corded carvex first and for what I need a jigsaw for it worked well. Now it stays in the shop and the cordless carvex stays in the van.
Both saws were drastically improved by the ball bearing pin mod which also allowed me to grind the carbide guides back a little which further improved cut line visibility from the sides.
