To hock or not to hock for a Kapex.

So I have some old gold rings from ex engagements, class ring (who really still wears these things) etc. and they just sit in a security box. I have no kids to pass on to, and I really have no attachment to them. Think I should hock them for something I can really use. Has anyone sold off the family jewels for some Festools?
 
The ex rings definitely hock. They are old baggage a guy shouldn't keep around. Bad for the mind, bad for a new relationship if the old lady finds out you have rings that were for exes.
I don't have a class ring but know plenty of people who do. From what I know I'd probably keep that.
Its nice to be sentimental about the past and articles that go along with one's history. Keeping some things is fine, getting rid of others is probably better. Life changes, your needs change and a new Kapex is a nice new path to follow

To the OP..hock them, kapex makes money, jewellery costs money. Go buy it you will love it.

I should have enough to get the Kapex and a Trailer to boot, maybe enough for a small vacation on top of it. lol. I don't wear the jewelry. Sitting in a box is doing no good. And what stuff I have any sentiment for, can stay were it is and I still am coming out ahead.
