This one was already lined up as the next hot rush. (they tend to stack up) [blink]
No sooner than the last one hit the floor and here comes the next. (2 actually, the Ash table edge was first) I got those pieces glued up first, then I was informed of the squeeze. This has to deliver first thing tomorrow. Essentially, I got a day and about a half to build it, half of Friday and all day today. It really isn't that big of a deal, other than figuring out how to have that angled joint work as the field seam and remain square (looking normal) on the inside. It's kind of a crazy looking overhanging thing, but it works.
Lamello Zeta Clamex to the rescue. When the normal, vertical studs pull the pieces together, the Clamex connectors tighten the face joint. It had to be in more pieces than usual, (for its size) because it has to fit into an elevator.
Most of it is a fairly new laminate design/finish called Black Velvet. It is much different than your typical surface finish. It actually feels soft, I'm not sure how to explain it? It has somewhat of a texture, but somehow feels kind of like skin. It is also very dull, without looking gray. It is a "white dirt" magnet tough. Every time my apprentice got close to, or touched it, he transferred Corian dust onto it.
It gets a white Corian top and the upper wall cap.
