I wanted to have the MFT level with the out  feed table for my table saw - this meant dropping about 2 inches off the height. I did not want to cut the legs and since the MFT never leaves my shop, I just built a table for it at the right height. Since I needed a place for some Sys 5's that I had, I incorporated a couple of trays (and a couple of drawers) plus a little caddy on the side. This gives me a lot or real estate which comes in real handy - here are a few pics:

That looks good!

I also need to build a mobile MFT cart, but I've been saying that for 4yrs  [embarassed]

I agree! That looks great! I too bought the plans for the MFTC, but in the end I build a mobile base that I could put the MFT on top of when it is in the garage/shop (similar to the original post), but I kept the legs on in the folded position. Anytime I need to take it offsite I just lift it off and use the standard legs. The only disadvantage is that there is slightly less space available for storage underneath.

Solid. And if you ever decide those systainers take up way too much room for the utility they provide in a shop environment, it looks like you can easily install drawers sized to fit your festools and their accessories.

This would be perfect for me.  Do you have a picture?

I have sys storage throughout the shop but none would take the 5. I have some kaizen foam for the shallow drawers which I intend to store measuring stuff (Woodpeckers etc).

Looks great [member=48620]Lou in DE[/member] !

Do you happen to have the item or part number for the router extension on your table saw? I would love to add that my Grizzly but can't find the version that accepts the Jessem router lift on their site.

It is the Bench Dog 40-102 extension which I bought off Amazon - very well made and a perfect fit - nice fence too:

I took some pics of the install if you are interested:

great set up, well done!  I really like the clamp and dog holder on the side.  Stole some ideas.

Nice looking set up , I've been wrestling with this same idea for quit sometime and you may have answer my dilemma. How to keep the fence set up on the table and still be able to use ou-tfeed portion of table saw.  Thanks for posting and enjoy your new set up!

Here's a photo that I had taken for something else.

If you zoom in to the corner near the saw you can see it is resting on the solid metal part of the frame rather than on the rubber, so it is all locked in place on the frame and won't move or fall off. There is also a diagonal cut to allow clearance for the folded legs. To remove the MFT, just lift it off.

I was making cheap mobile workstations from 2x4's, but if I did it again I would probably make a proper cabinet/sysport style with a flat top, and some stop blocks to keep it in the right place.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

Lou,  I love your photos and shop.  Took a look around your site and noticed these slick gray/black wall-mount socket storage units.  Can you tell me more about these shown in this picture?

Those are Craftsman (Sears) brand that I picked up years ago - I'm sure that they still sell something similar. Thanks for the compliment about my shop - I'm always changing it which is the fun of it all - I try to work in a project here and there to justify it all to my wife  [big grin]
