If you live in or near the Twin Cities, MN you might want to mark your calendar for an opportunity to talk with Danny Hale – The GREATEST Festool Regional Sales Manager in the USA and the Premier Festool GURU Steven Bace – Festool USA Corporate, Tool and Application Trainer.
Seven Corners Hardware is hosting their 20th Annual Woodworking & Tool Show that will be held at their St. Paul location located at 216 West 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102-2521 this September 2012:

I have heard that Festool will be highlighting and demoing the new CMS router table. WoooHooo!
Along with highlighting and demoing the Planex, the 15V impact drill drive, SysLite, SurFix, Routers, TS saws and the Work Center. They will also be able to answer any questions about any other Festool product you own. I’m told the demos will be hands on to the people that come to the show. So “you” get to use the Tool not watch someone else use them and “it works”…you get to “know for yourself if it works”!
So pack up your questions, your wallet ;-) and come on over!
I have to say Seven Corners Hardware is a special place.
If you remember back 35-50 years what Hardware stores used to be like (not a big box with price point stuff) you are in for a treat. Seven Corners (7C) has been in business for 79 years, and it is a trip back to the 1930’s where you get personal service and depth of offered products. What 7C has done so well, is add today’s mix of technology of modern pneumatic framing hammers, along side of buying 16p nails by the lbs. and being able to buy one of dozens of 16 oz hammers, but yet they offer and sell Festool!
As I walked the 7C store last Tuesday, the creaky old oak floors take me back in time to the first hardware store I ever remember. I remember as a four year old, when my father who was a giant to me as was every adult was when you’re four, was holding my hand and walking me into Garrett’s Hardware the local hardware store in Newton, Iowa. The old oak floors back then also creaked under our feet as we walked in. I remember Mr. Garrett of Garrett’s Hardware…treating me like a customer no different than my father, but I do seem to remember I got a piece of hard candy and Dad didn’t.
Seven Corners Hardware, inc. has been in business for 79 years. And I’m betting they will go well beyond 100 years. If you have never visited them before, and like visiting real hardware stores, you need to set aside half a day just to walk the isles and get a basic understanding of what all they carry without the show going on. That said “The Show” is huge so you might need more than one day to explore everything.
Baseline… it is just flat out, worth your time to visit them anytime you get a chance.
Cheers,
Steve
