This is not the same old same old, at least I think so, so I will keep this short and sweet. I have the CT 26 with the UDD and used it all last winter with the TS 55 sheeting in my garage, furring the windows and this and that. I did not use any tape or anything to prevent static on the UDD only the grey hose that came with it. So far it has not failed. Lee Valley contacted me about the UDD stating that there is an addition provided to the UDD by Oneida on account of numerous faults to Festool Vac's control boards. I had the option to return the whole dust deputy for a full refund or accept the modification provided by Oneida. I chose the latter. I have not used this yet at all.
My question is twofold:
Those of you that had the circuit board damage, did you use the new modicication by Oneida and all is ok now? OR
Those of you that, like me, never encountered the fault, and now use the new mod, IS your Festool Vac still working?
Even still, does the mod by Oneida work and there are no more problems, period? I am debating on weather to try to return this.
Thanks,
Dan
