Hello,

I am trying to find a supplier of euro screws.  I have the problem that many others have had, I have an 18mm cabinet divider and I need to install dry runners and hinges on both sides of the divider but the standard screws are to long.  Using the LR-32 system I believe the screw size I need is 6.3mm diameter by 10mm in length.  My hope is somebody has a good supplier in the UK that carries a good range of these sorts of things so I can refer to them in future as well.  I can find bits and pieces here and there but not really a selection.

Any help greatly appreciated

If you google M6 x 10.5mm Euro screws you will get loads. M6 seems to be commonly quoted as an equivalent to 6.3mm

Even Screwfix has them

have you tried screw fix? when I lived there I got just about everything I needed from them

wish they have something like that here

you could also try Nuts and Bolts and Healys

Thank you all for the replies.

[member=72891]AstroKeith[/member] I did find those ones on Screwfix but they are pan head and ideally I could do with countersink screws.  It would have been more helpful if I'd stated that.  Thanks again.

[member=10147]jobsworth[/member] I have indeed tried Screwfix and I can find pan head euro screws and an M4 countersink only and again not a great selection.  Yes, as you know in the UK we live of Screwfix, great stock, great exchange, long opening hours and friendly staff.  Never tried N&B or Healys for these types of things, I've only ordered tools from both of them before.  Thanks again.

[member=17381]woodbutcher[/member] Thanks for the link though they are machine screws rather than euro screws.  If you find that supplier useful I'll have a good poke about their site and see what else I can find.  Thanks again.

On the suggestion from AstroKeith I did a google search using that search time which led me down a path which led me to another search term "hinge screws".  After searching for a bit longer I found a UK supplier that has a few different lengths of euroscrews in pan head and countersink, perfect.

For others reading this thread, here is the UK supplier I found:https://www.adl-components.co.uk/euro-drawer-screws-358-c.asp

Thank you all

Agreed.........no it's not

In a pinch, as IKEA is present with most of you…
You can order “replacement” hardware from them. Lately I had some shelf pins I needed some more of, and I knew IKEA used the same - so I found the “spares” I was looking for under their “support” directory and ordered a good few, and they actually showed up in my mailbox without charge..

Worth a try  [wink]

That's an excellent idea! I was looking for some hex versions of these not too long ago.

They are available in a hex drive from other sources. Look for binding bolts or Chicago bolts.

The advantage to using the Blums in this application is there is a small
shoulder below the head that is sized for the Blum hardware.
