uses for systainers

Hi,

I picked this up in Sears. It fits perfectly in a Sys - IV or it could go in a Sys - V with 4" of stuff underneath it.

Okay Seth, a bag inside of a box, really?  Now you officially need help with your Systainer problem.... [tongue] [big grin]

Brice,

Seth has more of a problem than anyone else but me knows about.

Seth,

The extent of your addiction is still under wraps!  [big grin]

I am also planning to put a Mini Systainer into the tote and a tool roll into the Mini Systainer. If I work at it a bit I think I can reduce the space for tools to almost nill !  [eek]  [smile]

Similar concept to Festools wooden totes.  But much cheaper.

Seth,

Show Brice how you fit your family in sys maxi.  Must make travel so much easier.

No the Maxi did not work out. I had to go with a Sys - V with forteen extension frames. You can put them in standing up on a roll board.  [big grin]

Then you'll definitely be interested in my new line of designer systainer carrying bags....

Some how this is reminding me of that old tv series Mad TV where the cartoon figure would swallow himself up.

Do you think you 125 mm abrasive systainer will be functional on with a t - loc.  There appears to be an indentation on in the front middle to accomadate the t- loc handle.

That's a good question, I'll try to see what I can figure out.

Shane,
It appears that I'd have to make minor adjustments to the partitions to make it work.  No big deal at all.  If you look at the one that I made, the end partitions are somewhat different from those more interior, just because of inside differences in the Systainer.  You can't really see them, now that I think of it.  Also, the center partition's ends are not square, again, due to the Systainer design.  They're cut at a 2-3 degree angle, if I recall right.  In any case, both Brice and I custom-fit our respective inserts to fit the contours of the Systainers.

I guess my main concern would be that with the reduced width in the center, would the abrasive discs still fit side by side.  It would be no big deal if it is the same width as the classic, where it narrows for the latches.  I don't have a T-loc(yet) to confirm.

Just remember that the abrasive disks are flexible and don't lie flat in any case.  So what if they are stored slightly bent?  When you put them on the sander, they'll straighten out.

My measurements of the T-Loc say it'll work fine.
