I just looked at the poll page and there is a button that says

run the results of the poll only when it is expired.

That button is inactive. Matthew, turn that button on and I'll start a anonymous poll

right now. Whatcha think?

Per

On that page, if you input a duration for the poll, eg 2 days, that button will become active. The reason that it's currently inactive is because the duration is blank by default, indicating a limitless duration.

Go for it! It seems the fairest way to me.    However I'm not sure whether a 2 day poll would run for 48 hours from the time it was created, or would run from midnight to midnight, or would use come other method of calculation.

One is lobbying [VERY HARD] to go.  Let's settle this, send Monte, and spend the next couple of days working on some questions and work related scenerios for Monte to play with on the machine.

I agree.

Sorry for being so blunt above.  One of the things that makes this forum so great is the one that aggravates me most... The thinking, re-thinking, and the second guessing the re-thinking.  ( I am ALWAYS short on the thinking part, so I do appreciate the thoughtfullness put into these discussions)  This and above rant over.

Being new here I have no emotional link to any of the personalities.

I voted by reviewing the posted works of those still in the running.

Nicko-you would have been my first choice based on the "delicateness"  of your work.

Everyones work is amazing just went with Per's suggestion of who's work fit the tool best.

I still have not bought a Festool but came to realize I have the most important and valuable Festool there is-
this web site and all of your shared knowledge and inspiration.

I have no idea what this is about, but since you mentioned Portland, please add me to the list of nominees.

There is no better place for beer lovers in all the world than Portland (Beervana)!  :-*

This is about sending one of the three to Demo the Joint tech pro in Portland

then reporting back to the rest of us.

I voted for Monte since he is more than capable, drooling all over the new tool and he started the thread.
