This was finished on Christmas Eve, for myself. I've been making and painting it for about four months. Wife was very pleased....at least for a little while.

chrismorrow said:Jobsworth- I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but in an effort to save money, both pieces are 100% poplar. I treated it for blotching and used a gel stain. Prior to all that, I beat it up real good to distress it. The result has been a pretty nice old world look.
