Thanks fr posting and can't wait for finished pics

Trying to get all 7,000 plus members to post something they have done  or built. That's all very simple idea
It's like this thread has 138 or so post but over 7,000 views. Those that view should also post some work also.
cool! Good idea and fun way to get to know members.

Kreg, I often look at your work with a lot of pleasure and I can say I'm really impressed by your creations
(... that's also true for plenty of the members here)

so as I find your idea very nice it's my turn to post my last work

I'm 40 and I'm usually working as an industrial designer in aeronautics but this year I decided to go back to school to learn the job
I dream since I was a little boy.... CABINETMAKER ! ;)

This is the first table we've done. (Design was imposed except for veneer work which is a creation of mine)

Hope you will enjoy !

Sorry for my english, I'm working it !!!

Your English is better than most people I talk to on a daily basis in my home state of Wisconsin, USA.

Awesome work, too!

Christopher. Thanks for the complement  !

And your table is beautiful !! Nice job

Here's a coffee table, part of a furniture line I used to produce for wholesale in small quantities.

Hey all,
I figured I may as well weigh in on this. I am new to woodworking and new to Festool. My woodworking shop is 22x26 and I have only the floor to do, concrete that is. I am waiting on warmer temperatures as I live in Canada and it is still a bit nippy yet. While I was building my workshop I was collecting as much of Festool as I could. I finally have enough to get going. The first project is a bench against the wall with drawers and the Kapex will settle in there nicely. Anyway when I am done I will post pictures for sure as this will be my first project. So, for now, here is a picture of my workshop. No, cars, snowmobiles, ATV's, lawnmowers allowed. It is 100% my workshop and both floors and I built it myself with a little help. And I am licking my lips to get at this and get going into the woodworking craft. Well? What do you guys think? Look OK?

Regards,
Dan P.

Hi Dan,
That looks awesome  [thumbs up] You did a great job. I can't wait to have a stand alone woodworking shop. I'm looking forward to seeing the final pictures when your all set up.

Congratulations on the shop and tools!
Have fun,

Daniel

Looks good, and it looks like winter is on it's way out so you should have your floor pretty soon.
How are you gonna heat/AC your shop?
Any pictures of the inside?
Tim

Daniel,
It has taken a lot of time and effort. I researched lots on this. In particular the electrical, which I designed and did myself as it is my profession. The only thing left is to finish the concrete floor and I am getting a nice epoxy finish done on it. The shop is pretty much empty (except for a BBQ and a canoe) and nothing is going in there until everything is done. There is much sweat equity in this and it was worth the effort. I just received the MFT3 and now it's soon time to get at it.

Nice shop, Dan... promise to keep the BBQ in there! Shop envy! :)

Hey Dan thanks. Looks good and thanks for sharing. We all enjoy and learn !

Hey Guys,
Here are a few extra shots of the garage. I won't get into too much detail as I will save it for later when the shop is the way I want it. The pictures I took using an Ipad so excuse the quality.

This is a shot of inside just to show some of the lights. I went with 12 fluorescents and they are the brightest I could find. Plus there are 4 incandescent (2 separate circuits).

This is a shot showing the heating. It is a fan type 5KW. There are cheap versions of these on the market and I steered clear of them as they can be trouble.
I also have two in-wall heaters at 1500 watts each for the upstairs. They keep the space warm. But I have a wood stove as well as in the winter it keeps the place toasty and I love a fire.

[attachthumb=2]

I put this shot in because when I was furring up the windows I asked my brother to use his table saw to rip the pine. But then I thought about my TS55 and the two lengths of rail I have with it. I ripped them on a sheet of old plywood. So I used the TS55 along with my CT26 dust extractor (complete with boom arm assembly and ultimate dust deputy). After I ripped the pine I did not plane it, sand it or even blow on the wood as there was hardly any sawdust. I assembled the furrings and installed them in each window. All I did then was put on the trim and put four coats of poly on the pine. A job I though would be a challenge was made faster, easier and smarter, with my Festool gear. I can't wait to use the rest of it. I stll have new stuff still in the box or........ahem, systainer. Sorry Paul, I'm building another smaller shed for the BBQ and the rest. This is woodworking only.
