What Festool Did You buy Today?

That’s some birthday present!
Curious of that new protractor fence thingy - with rollers. It looks like I will buy the new version to retrofit to my CS 50 and the GE (For use on the move - compactness, I have the roller tables too)
Like the saw - but no pull saw function; Festool [poke]
- Now that I have come to love that feature.

Still the same crappy construction on the parallel fence.  [unsure]

I’ve heard some complaints about the parallel fence, but what do you think is wrong?
I like the micro adjust, although I did some minor improvement to let it move a bit smoother.. 🙄 And the lever that tightens rear part of the fence is not very smooth either..

It's never forced to move the same on both ends. Seems a €800 Dewalt (including the parallel fence) is more accurate on that part than the Festool (which sells separate for €300). My brother asked me about a table saw, and I advised him to look beyond a CS 50 (which I use). The CS 50 table isn't even flat, the fence isn't perpendicular to the table, the table is tilted downward closer to the saw... meh. And everything seems to be just not stiff enough. Eg cutting plates with the sliding table (492100) doesn't seem to give more repeat accuracy than just measuring it out and cutting with TS55 and rail.

Honestly, I think that is a shame.

Hi, moved this to it’s own topic:https://www.festoolownersgroup.com/festool-how-to/parallel-fence-la-cs-50cms-troubleshooting/

MFT/3 multi function table plus two ratchet clamps and the leg supports. Got it setup today and had to rearrange the shop/garage for it to fit ina good spot. Tomorrow i cut some wood w/TS55 REQ.

My first Festool purchase. CT 15 Dust Extractor. Looking forward to this wonderful journey.[attachimg=1]  [big grin]

Just bought a second RS2e since it’s being discontinued and can’t find ANYWHERE!  Found a shop in Houston, TX with one left.

Picked up the small carbide scraper to clean glue off the edge banding after using the conturo

Picked up an RTS EC 400 on Amazon and got an onsale ETS EC with batteries and charger to go with my DTS EC...mucho cordless sanding now possible.  Also bought another of the new bit holders so I have one in my C-18 and CSX.

I rolled the dice

Can anyone tell me the weight of the ug stand?
I have to lift the saw into a truck

With all this plastering I'm doing lately, I thought I'd get me a dedicated mixer. Doing it with a drill was beginning to bug me, the back doesn't like it. Not that I have problems there, but I feel the stress, and I prefer to work ergonomically to avoid getting them in the long run.

So I got me a Protool MXP 1602 E EF mixer. Currently sold as the Festool MX 1600/2 E EF.

I'll write up a little review later.

[member=5277]Alex[/member] - That’s multiplying into a huuge amount of Belgian waffles! With Nutella of course!  [tongue]

[member=9356]pettyconstruction[/member] - I believe the UG cart without wings are 10kg’s or approximately 22 Pounds
Complete with wings it’s about 21kg’s or 46 pounds.
Edit: I just noticed; did your Kapex come with zero clearance insert? Mine have clearance to all extreme bevel angles. European that is.

No I had purchased a Batterley insert awhile ago and after a quick tuneup, I installed it.
Thanks for the information , I will need to lift it into the back of the truck.
I can get my Saw Stop in the truck, so I think it will be similar.

I just got the new FS WA/90. A pricy bit of Aliminium, and the only difference is no blue Anodising and a green piece of Rubber on the TSO clip. It was a lot cheaper for me to get this in Germany than to import the TSO original from the States.
Will give it a test run tomorrow.

I have tried the FS WA/90, it OK it does what its sposed to do. I was working with some old bent and damp 22mm Plywood. I found the Aluminium Part a bit short to really see if I was deed on 90° over a 2,50m length. I think it would be easier on Melamine coated Chipboard as it would have a cleaner cut edge than shitty old ply.
One advantage is it fits flat in a Systanter and upright in a Sys5 where my TSC 55 Battery Saw lives.
I think with time and the job it will pay for itself, not a must have if you dont do a lot of Chipboard.

Ordered TSO Bigfoot and needed flush cut blades for my Supercut.  I like Bosch, Amazon had deal 20% off $100.00 and I had $24.00 rewards...ended up paying $60.00 for five $20.00 blades.

Having read how much folks seem to love their DTS 400s I thought I’d get one.

Picked up a nice 3 yr old unit from Cash Converters (pawn shop) for about half the price of a new one. Came with a swag of Granat and Rubin too.

In great condition and seems to work well. Can’t wait to give it a run this weekend.
