What Festool Did You buy Today?

Just glad to have a wife that is very supportive when it comes to my tool addiction. [big grin]

She's not supporting you, mate. She's enabling... 😉

Took the drive to the dealer to pick up a 8mm bit for my 1010 router.

Here’s how that worked out:

I opted for the basic version of the AGC because the sales rep said I could use my C18 batteries for it. But online I see everyone using the 5.2 airstream batteries.

Questions for AGC users:

1) Do I need the AS battery or will my C18 4.0 batteries (2022 model) work?
2) Even if my C18 batts work, SHOULD I get the 5.2 AS battery for improved balance, better performance (I will NOT be using this continuously for hours at a time, in case that matters - just light homeowner use), or other reasons?
3) If I get the AS battery, do I need the AS charger, or can I just use my existing charger? Any reason to get the AS charger anyhow?

I also got the full separating guard/cover and hand protector because I didn’t want to forget any key accessory. Of course, I was already on the freeway home when i realized I forgot the cutting wheel I needed 😂. Isn’t that always the way?

Batmanimal, it seems that you are in constant danger of your local dealer, especially if this dealer is medium far away. Being well assorted it seems..  [big grin] - You’ll end up grabbing what catches your eye since the trip is long enough that the “better safe than sorry” catches up at the store rather than revisiting in the near future  [poke] Still, very useful catch  [smile]

Cannot say anything about the ACG, but I don’t think you need to worry about having to use only AirStream battery’s. Any of the 18V should be fine, except the Ergo battery’s for the sanders.

Here's a comparison between the MIDI I and the MINI I. I really wanted another MIDI I but nothing has come up on the Recon site for the last 5-6 months and the local Woodcraft has been empty. Ya, you save $40 on the MINI and it's 12 oz lighter but for all practical purposes the MIDI is a better deal all around.

Should the MIDI come with that cord wrap?
The one I got last week does not have one (unless I somehow missed it in the packaging).

[member=78170]LsDelancy[/member] The midi comes with that cord wrap. I think it might be packaged inside the body of vac. If you didn’t get one, contact Festool.

[member=71478]FestitaMakool[/member] you’ve hit the nail right on the head. I only allow myself to go to the Festool dealer 2-3 times per year. The last time I was there, in January, I left with a CMS router table kit. So I considered this week’s haul to be downright modest. It’s a two hour drive and they are VERY well stocked. Much to easy to pick up anything that catches my eye or that’s on my “mental list” of Festools that “if I ever come across” I am primed to buy. The AGC was on that list!

I did end up ordering a 5.2 AS battery for it to see if there’s a better weight balance / better performance vs the 4.0 ones that came with my drill.

Yes, as others have noted it should be in the bottom of the vac along with a new bag and possibly the owners manual.

Bought the CTH 26 e Have been eyeing the form factor for some time, and finally as my CTL Midi seems slowly but surely being more worn requiring a new hose, new hose garage and brake that I decided to get the much more capable and beefy CT- 26 form factor. As I work in in old buildings with annoying dust and often sand mahogany or teak I felt the CTH was the best fit. Yes the bags are more expensive but the piece of mind and my health and others in who move through the spaces I will work in makes I worth it . I will pass the expense of the bags to my various work places.

A cheap addition, but will help organise - Sys3 insert for both TID18 and C18. Will be nice to get them both in one systainer.
Not so cheap addition - HKC55 set.

Today I purchased a FS1400/2-LR32-55"(1400 mm)Guide Rail

STM1800 should arrive today.

Hope it is as useful for my needs as planned!

I got two more minis from Hartville, one to hold my new Milwaukee 12v soldering iron, other for anything that my come up.  I probably have 15 or so minis is and IIs as they are great for keeping small tools and accessories organized.

Nice! First LR 32 rail?
No this is my second, so I don’t have to use the Guide Rail on my MFT/3 to join with my other FS1400/2-LR32 Guide Rail when I need to break down full sheets of ply.

where'd you get it from?
Talk to Hartville. They found an unopened sealed box .. believe they have one more left.
