What is the Festool way to rout some sliding dovetails?

I'm gearing up to run some sliding dovetails - shelves to solid wood plank sides in cherry.  Is there a straight forward way to do this using an OF1010 and guide rails? Do I need to set up the router in a table for the end cuts? The Leigh Jig would do quick and accurate work of it (both orientations) but I don't own one of those. There might be some of you who do this pretty regularly and so I'm hoping to take advantage of your experience and generous natures to guide me through the Festool way. Thank you very much.

Brice Burrell also talks about it on his site (and on FOG) using the Plexiglas Template as another option for cutting the mail portion of the joint.
