What's with the OF1400 frosted plastic dust attach?

I agree that it is tough to see what you are doing on the 1400.  Maybe I should have bought the 1010.

For Festool staff - the ratcheting chuck on the 1400 was what sold me on it.  I really wish you would offer that on the 1010.  I would have bought the 1010 instead had it had that.

Yeah, I agree that the visibility obscured by the bit cover (my cover is only frosted where the hose attaches).  I did crack my cover when I used a large roundover bit and forgot when I released the plunge.  However, with the 1400 and cover the dust collection is excellent when used with smaller bits. 

Perhaps, Festool should make a 1400 version where the dust collection it built in.
