Welcome to the FOG.
I dont have a local supplier, well I do in Reno, but i dont really think they are all that up on Festool, their stock levels vary widely. I do my research here and online to decide what I want, then I buy online.
I have used Tool Nut (Festoolproducts.com), as well as Bob Marino and In Touch Tools. If you are not in a hurry, and want to forgo the sales tax, buy from an out of (your) state dealer online. I have never had any issues with these dealers, as others will tell you, Bob Marinos crew packs shipments to survive being run over by a tank!
I have also purchased from Hartville via Amazon, Amazon directly too. Personally I would not buy from CPO Outlets or Factory Authorized Outlet, just my opinion based on their business practices and reviews.
All of the Festool is the same price in N America, so its not like you can shop by price. All of the dealers I mentioned at the top have a great staff and are very knowledgeable about the product should you have any questions or problems.
Good luck and have fun! And, beat the price increase-- buy now, before April 1.
Oh, it f you are buying a tool and a table or vac, make sure that you take advantage of the 10% off the table or vac when you buy. Most dealers offer that option on their site. Also, if you buy a TS55 REQ track saw, see if the dealer will swap out the normal rail for a "holey" rail, that may be of use to you later if you work with the LR32 drilling system.
