Workshop sooner?!

You're right JMB, you must have lots of other stuff on your mind right now that are more urgent concerns. (I mean in the build i'd think)
But I did want to point out that that Felder dc mattfc posted earlier went for a really interesting price! I have a AF-22 and know someone who's got a RL 125 and the 125 runs way quieter and the dust extraction is significantly better then mine. And it (the 125) runs at 1900m³/h and the RL 200 at 4000 m³/h... Oh boy! And it sold for half the new price of a RL 125.

And oh yeah.. I forgot to incorporate lol somewhere but here it is anyways.. lol  [tongue]

[laughing]

there are lots of ways to wreck a dc.
running it wide open (no bags= ro resistance and over running of the motor) . my dc has an 8 inch intake but i reduced it to 6inch   and am venting it out side with a 6 inch pipe.

on the dc impeller housing inlet there will be a cross of metal that catchs big pieces.
loads of people cut out those pieces so that youy get less blockages. problem is that those cross pieces allow big material to hit the impeller.
if you see this on a machine dont buy it. there is bount to be impeller damage.

Well my mate sucked up some small solid pieces of timber by accident when he was sucking up shavings of the floor next thing bang bang bang

he turns round and where the fan is he could see large dents appearing on the surface cus of the timber hitting the sides.  Oops!

I can't remember but pretty sure he did it twice sucked up a small spanner as well.   When I'm next in his work shop ill take some pictures if his dented extractor.

Ya the last company I worked for had a separate fan for the cnc and another fan for all the other machinery. As far as I know the fan for the cnc was a high pressure fan. Have you the cnc setup yet

No I have no 3phase yet hopefully coming soon!!!

Having rest next week any way going skiing with my mates yay

Re the Dust Extractor, the CNC in our family uses a big numatic type. Its got a 85mm hose and goes all day. You want High Volume low pressure High Pressure Low Volume like a camvac (twin motor at least) for the CNC rather than a chip extractor really. The CamVac can deal with Planer chips and stuff no problem. Get yourself a big Cyclone to go with it all and you'll be away.

a chip extracter IS high volume low pressure.
the cam vac ones are high pressure low volume.

ha Funny you you asked!

I have been working on it to day actually my cousin who is a grounds worker came to day to help.

The other week I spent couple days getting all the block paving up!!!  Man that was boring and took AGES!!

Ill upload a picture of the pile of pavers thats only a third of the drive!  Glad thats all I had to get up.

Good to hear its taking shape. How's the CNC working out for you so far?

I wish it was taking shape lol.   The building is not out of the ground yet only the ground work has been done so far and still more to be done it has  stood still since last time I posted  due to me not having enough time to spend on it plus JCB and 3 phase problems.

So the CNC is not running yet its all covered up  [crying] [mad]

Any way here is a picture off all the paving I had to get up!  Loved every minute of it!

Oh ya I can see how you loved every minute of that job  [scared]

Ah you should your own job and dig the crap out everywhere and sort yourself out that way instead of the jcb f*****s being apes

That's wa I'm doing now going to build half the building so atleast I can stick the Cnc some where and have it running.  This first half is 12 meters by 5 meteres big. Second section will be about 14metres by 6 metres

So next couple days I would like to get footings sorted and look at getting some bricklayers building the retaining wall and then start building the building.  Yay!!

Oh ya I like that idea! At least ul have a place to out ur CNC and get it working flat out 24 7 365

Haaahaa lol be nice if I can run it that many hours!

Ill be pushing to run it as many hours as possible. If I don't have a job for it ill make up a job!!

Any way my Missus has come round and has stopped nagging me to finish my house off and stop spending all your money on tools bla bla!!

She seems happy to live above the workshop now and get the workshop running. Leave my house for now.

Get this!! I was looking at UNOsanders which is a flutter sander £3k for a sander I was tempted she told me just buy it if makes u money and gets the job done quicker just buy it!!!   I was shocked!!!!  Couldn't believe what I was hearing. Happy days!!
