For your CNC room when you built the stud wall did you bother using any king of specific acoustic insulation?
I remember from your days old plans that upstairs was going to be your newly-wed love shack.. is that still the plan to have it as accommodation
Thanks

I would love to post some more pictures for you lot to see but............
At the moment not much progress since last update. I have been busy catching up with clients jobs and keep getting more work in. I Lost my joiner mate for 6weeks he's gone Australia.
Just left with Andy joiner (who is busy himself) and Deano (social) who's also busy. I know this other joiner which me and my mate are going to see if he's any good . I have worked with him before so I know he's a good worker but he's a workshop joiner and from past experience many workshop joiners are not very good on site.
Any way back to the workshop. Still don't have three phase yet..... Umm
Just pricing up some cedar so far about £5-6000 +vat just for some cladding and 2x2 for the corners. Little bit steep for my liking!
Ummm I bought two sets of sectional garage doors which one of them I have already fitted.
Umm what else........nothing much to say really.
Soon as there is more progress ill post pictures.

JMB, I know what you mean there. When i was in Mason Biz, I did everything from hand digging footings to intricate toppings of chimneys. I went thru a lot of hirings along the way. Whatever the job, I was right along with the work. I worked with concrete, brick, blocks, stone, plaster and after did my own carpentry, or worked with the carpenters.
I did not expect a mason hire to do digging, or a laborer to do finish work. I did try to find help who could go from brick to block to stone. I never found such a person in any of my hires. I did have a couple of mentors who, when i went into business on my own, would often work with me, or I with them, and would do everything the same as I.
From what i gather from so many of your posts, I am thinking that, even tho you appear to be a top of the heap joiner,(as you put it) you seem capable of doing anything necessary to get the job done.
NOTE: I am among those who get impatient waiting for your next installment here [popcorn] [popcorn] [popcorn]
