Workshop sooner?!

Last couple days got working on the workshop again crappy weather! The avant tractor came in really handy for getting of the roof tiles and moving stuff. Love it

When do you hope to start the shuttering and pouring the concrete walls?

Soon as possible dude.    Been crushing to day recon I've crushed about 20tons 2moro another 10tons  then some more ripping out then hope to do the shuttering if everything is sorted

are you going to build the shutters or hire in the large pans and do it like a farm shed/tank

I'm going to hire the shutter temp for a week.  Not worth making my own take to long and will cost

Jmb

are you going for the 4x2 s withthe snap ties or the 8x4s with the threaded bars and plastic pipes.

Umm don't know lol. Just called up some shuttering companies to get some prices got a price £1800 for a week I think  u can put it up your self.

Looks like the weather is always miserable there. Overcast and mud every photo we see.

wow . 1800gbp  seems a bit high.
i know of 3-4 guys here with a set of it just sitting around.
i would try and find someone who does farm sheds and anks in their spare time. they would be a lot cheaper. my uncles does a lot of that work or the side. i often help him on my other uncles farm building sheds and tanks etc.

This shutter is 2.7m high. They supply corners internal and external plus window, door kit.
It comes with platforms which attach to the top so u can walk all round to pump the concrete in.  Think u can set the shutters to do 100mm to 250 thick wall not sure can't remember.

To be honest I'm all new to this.  Not taken the plunge yet still looking round.

i remember seeing a video on energy efficient building.
they were using shutters . they set the shutters to 100mm(i think) poured, then opened off the inside layer stuck on 8 inches(i think it was sprayed on or stuck on with spray addhesive)
then the shutters put back up 100mm out from the insulation again and poured agin.
it sounded very complicated but the way the shutters were done all they had to do was open each end and put in a different corner block (i think it was just a normal corner but had a narrow shutter bolted on that was the added measurement)
i thought it would be very slow until i saw the video , .
the beauty of this was that the outside layer was ties into the sub floor and foundations  but the indide was isolated  from that with special load bearing polistireen. the floor inside and the inside wall were all one (with a break between thow) .

edit to fix post in quote
