I did my accidents driving forgetting that my digger arm was fully extended. I just needed to move a little over and then! bang oops lol.
All came down to rushing to be honest with me.
Got a new toy coming soon! Hopefully next week! I'll be more carefull with this one though as its mine and not on hire!

That Avant looks cool, especially all the attachments, huge range, could do with a shaper and re-saw attachment, and maybe on of those tree felling arms!

Hi JMBjmbfestool said:Unfortunately due to the weather the job has come to a stop. Its way to cold to lay bricks.
So now decided to go a different way to build the workshop. Worked it out to be a cheaper method ( I HOPE) quicker! and not so weather dependent!
Going hire lots of shuttering and concrete pour the first ground floor walls.

This weather is a real pain - I am freezing in the workshop!
If you are going to use concrete instead of bricks and mortar won't you have problems with the planning or building regs people?

Good call on the concrete. Much stronger.
There was a lot of talk a few posts back about insulation. I think it was mostly about insulating the above grade walls. If you are going to be working in basement, you should insulate on the outside of the foundation as well. It will turn the concrete into basically a heat sink and you will keep a more even temp thru the winter and it will stay drier (the walls won't sweat) during humid summer months. I know you don't get much rain in your area, :but sometimes weather can get t be , er, ah, unusual. [unsure]

Yeah that's the plan. Going to tank the concrete any way to stop damp coming through but also stick insulation around the outside of the building.
I want the keep the work shop an average house temperature so the wood I store in the workshop is kept nice and warm. Also so I am nice and warm. Plus I am planning on running the CNC 24hours if I can if I get enough work for it ofcourse so anything to sound proof the building more is a bonus!
I will be enclosing the cnc inside the workshop aswell to sound proof it more mainly for me so when the machine is running I can shut the door and work in peace on another job or something instead of hearing the bloody thing screaming at me.

To get pallet forks here they wanted me to buy an expensive roof. When I called the reseller in the UK and ordered them, I asked him about a roof. He said, 'if you've a problem with a roof, call a roofer'
It is a fantastic bit of kit, very versatile. The only down side is that the filters over here cost a fortune - £250 for all the filters for the last service I did.
Enjoy.

I would love a CNC (I keep looking but the one I want is out of range at the minute) I bought a decent second hand felder panel saw to keep me going.
I just wish I had built a seperate room for a small spray booth!! Would you not consider doing this??
Anyway has the CNC arrived??? what is it???
Keep the posts coming!
