Xmas present ideas to make?

Hi all, I know you lot are such a creative bunch......and I know it's a bit early yet, but in the back of my mind I'm thinking of making some woodwork presents for friends and family before December gets here to give myself enough time.
I've asked around and so far the usual, Breadboards and picture frames and small boxes have been suggested...hmm done them.
Any cool ideas people? Any sure fire winners apart from those? 
I love the idea of a pull along toy I saw on the Wood Whisperers site but I don't have have any little 'uns to make for this year, so am after ideas mainly for adults....

Thanks, and I hope any ideas can inspire others here too as I'm sure plenty must be thinking the same about what to make for xmas!

(I don't have a lathe or bandsaw, but I do have most of the usual tools)...

You might consider making some clocks.  You can make them as simple or elaborate as you like.  The clockworks aren't expensive.  You can purchase them online from www.klockit.com.  They have everything you need whether you are making a small table clock or a tall case clock with an elaborate pendulum clockworks and chimes.

I made cutting board last year for my family and few friends. Now this year I'm already getting more request that other people want a few. But the people I made cutting boards have requested that I make matching wooden kitchen utensil sets, others want trivets to match the boards but is all along the same kitchen theme.  Since some of friend are wine...o I was thinking of make counter top wine rack and smaller serving boards with carved wooden knife to match or something. Either way the most request I'm getting are kitchen based ideas.

I like the idea of the clocks to......... Maybe fsncy coaster set I don't know ideas are endless but time is counting down.

I carve wooden spoons from beech or local woods I grab when trees are being trimmed. They usually go down well as presents. A gouge or spoon knife is useful for doing the bowl though.

This is a good idea. Maybe Ill do the same thing for some friends when I finish my current project.

Ill check some craft magazines its getting to be that time of year.

Easy to batch out.  David just posted a link on how he makes them.  I created a template for use with a flush trim bit.
