I want to make similar finish on a table but I never done epoxy before. So I have servals questions:

What type of epoxy (brands) and witch pigment I can add to the mix?
How to make a mold on top of the table to hold down the epoxy when curing.
In what material can I make the mold to dont stick to the top of the table.

I have worked a little with epoxy
Are you planning on rolling/applying multiple thin coats? or pouring 1 thick coat?
For the top you just pour it on the table. No mold needed
For the edges,Doing a mold or form can be done and we used laminate(same stuff that you use for counter top)
It worked but it was not perfect. We had to sand the edges and apply a thin coat over it.
As far as putting color in it,i don't have any experience at all. It's always been clear.
That first picture looks weird,is it suppose to be like that?

Im thinking to apply only one thick coat.

The first picture is what im planning to do and yes it is normal,  it is unfinished cruvy boards with epoxy on top so where the wood is hight there it is less epoxy and the deep spots shows the color of epoxy because there is more epoxy in it.

You used laminate to create a mold and this dosen't stick?

The epoxy I worked with did not stick to plastic
Even the mixing cup it would just come off after drying

I have had this site bookmarked for a while http://www.delviesplastics.com/casting_resin.htm

A friend of mine asked me to build a cast resin table, but I never got around to it.

They have dyes and coloring stuff on the website.

Please post up photos if you do end up making a top like that, it would be very interesting to see how it turns out.
