Cutting/Routing Curves Smoothly?

I'm creating a subwoofer box for my pickup which is shaped to follow the contours of the storage compartments underneath the rear seat ... Ex. Dual Tall Subwoofer Box

I've removed the seats, taped down some cardboard, and cut it to the desired shape.  I'm now planning to transfer the shape to the MDF but am not sure how to cut it with nice straight lines and smooth contours on the corners.  I seen a video where a car audio guy uses an adjustable curve tool and flush trim router bit to make custom templates which look like a good solution; however, I've seen some poor reviews about the tool coming apart and being cheap so now I'm wondering if there's a better way...

Would you buy the adjustable curve tool and make the project in this way or is there a better way?

rst, Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one. I need to make a replacement rocker for a child's rocking chair, and this will help.
I see CMT also makes a thinner model (TMP-1200) and a longer one (TMP-2000).

Thanks for the recommendation, it looks much sturdier than the other tool!

Quick question, one review said it was pretty thick and not so easy to bend, even though it looks bendable in the images ... do you think it will bend easy enough to bend to the contour for this project?

Sweet, I just bought it.  Thanks again for sharing, I hope I get to use it on some other future projects to get those nice smooth contours with the router bit!  [big grin]
