Hi all,

Im looking for some more information on the Festool RG 150. Im in the UK and there is no mention of it on the UK website, actually very little on the web!!

Worked with someone a couple of days ago, he was from holland. He used said tool and i was more than impressed with it. Is this tool available in the UK?

Also, which i forgot to ask the dutch guy, if its possible to fit some sort of polishing/sanding disc 120/80grit etc

Thanks in advance for any info

Hi
The R.G machines (Renovation grinders) are currently not available in the U.K along with the Diamond cutting system.

So is the 'Elephant in the Room', 110v on construction sites in UK?

It is one of the new additions coming from the Protool range. As of yet, none of the ex-Protools have been redesigned for 110v.

These Renovation Grinding tools look massivly effective..

I think they should only be used by users that have recieved training.

Bosch makes what is essentially the RG130. It is based on their 4.5" grinder body and motor. I have one, its ok for small jobs or light concrete floor grinding. It will cover a good amount of square footage fairly well but doesn't handle hard core grinding well. DC is pretty good. Since it has the 10A (if I remember right) motor it bogs down if you put too much force on it. I emailed them a couple times about making one based on their bigger grinder; never heard anything. The machine is pretty easy to handle.
