Rexy always calls me up when he gets new stuff well he said he had 5 in stock but I said I didnt want it as I could see no need for it BUT  just the other week I decided I wanted it for doing my Kitchen worktops so when I ordered all my tools I ordered the Oiling Kit but he said he had sold all 5 of them already sooooooooo  he had to order it in for me thats why I didnt get it last week but I think he has more in stock cus im sure he wouldnt of just ordered one 1 for just me if not he will get it to you properly in a week give him a call he always seems to get the stuff quick.  

If you call him 2 moro you will properly have it by thursday!

I just spoke to Rexy he says he has one left just letting you know dude! Think about it You could have it on thursday/friday at the latest! 

Just strange how your dealer takes so long to get it and my dealer got it in like a week from Germany and sounds of it 2 or more.

A Metabo thicknesser! ITs a beast!  I didnt know which one to get Makita Dewalt or Metabo!  but I hate the name Dewalt dont even like it near me so thats out of the question!  The Makita didnt thickness as wide as the metabo sooo the Metabo one it was!

So, StigFLOG, what is it you do?  Cut fast around curves with your Carvex or are the straight-a-ways with the TS55 more your thing?  Maybe you should get together with another UK member to race Carvi on video.  [cool]

Have the same one, had it for 3 years now still going great, only now have just reversed the blades, have thicknessed a tonne of walnut!

Adjusting out snips is always a bit hard with such a short bed, so if removing a decent amout, I would leave the wood a couple of inces longer and cut to final length once done. Also if you need to be accurate, the built in height gauges are pants, so I would go with one of these:-

I will immediately place an order at Machine-dro.co.uk

...think I'll also buy myself an ordinary height gauge for using on my tablesaw and on my router table now I'm at it!

Cheers Mattfc!    Yeah I sent one piece of 4x2 though to test it and noticed the first 2 inch and last 2 inch was planned a little more than the rest!  It flys  through dont it!  I thought it would have feed control!  It was lovely and smooth!  I like it! so far!

Yeah that digital reader looks mint is it easy to install?  Does it just go on the Metabo with out any modification as the pictures shows it on a Dewalt.

Yes for such a small machine it chops through it, have had no problem on taking 2mm of a 300mm walnut plank, sure you could hear the motor strain a bit, but fine otherwise. You need a good 100mm extractor attached though, I got the metabo one which dies the job. I managed to get the Wixey on fine, will post a couple of pics tomorrow.

Try lifting the board up at the backside as you enter it into the machine and when it's almost all the way through the planer, lift up on the front of the board.  You should also try adding on infeed and outfeed supports to see if that'll help.

Othewise...should a bought the Hammer.  [sad]

YEah I couldnt believe it!  I stuck the timber in and watched it go through  and I thought man that goes through quick before I knew it it had eaten the entire length and I had to run round to catch it!

Hey thank you for the Advice Ken!   But I have only used it once and not even set the beds up yet I dont know if they are running flat yet not checked!  I was to excited and just wanted to stick a piece of timber in to see how much power it has it did it at max 3mm did it dead easy.      

I will have to set it up a bit better for when I actually use if for a proper job! Also I would like to get that Digital reader!
