Ok.  I am sure someone has answered this (maybe a million times).  But I did a search and can't find the answer.

Has Festool fixed the problems with the Kapex?  If I were to buy one today would it be "good"?  What should I check to make sure?

I haven't heard any issues recently, and mine is fine.

The short answer is yes, Festool has fixed the scrapping issue. It is possible, but not likely, that you could get a Kapex from an early batch that has the old spring plate, if so you and you experience the scraping issue you can call Festool and they will send out a replacement part. It's a quick, easy fix. Some users have had a problem with the table inserts warping, again call festool and a replacement will be sent.
