Lanyard and Key? With a carvex attachment

Today I (finally) purchased the rail attachment for my carvex and it came with a short festoon lanyard and a green key(?). What are these for? Please let me know. Thanks

It's for the CMS insert that takes the Carvex.

Sadly, no

However, you can make your own using Timtool's approach, configured for a router and/or carvex in a systainer design:

That would be a handy way to put that key-lanyard thingy to good use.

The key is what keeps the Carvex jigsaw in the 'on' position, it pushes in behind the Carvex power switch, then power is controlled by the switch on the CMS.

I had to go to London for work last year. I ordered the TS75 saw and carvex jigsaw cms inserts online (along with a load of other NAINA accessories such as extension tables etc.) and had them delivered to the hotel I was staying at. I arranged to have them arrive two days before I did just in case there were any issues and called the concierge to give him a heads up some boxes would be arriving for a guest who hadn't checked in yet.  Everything went smoothly - I took an extra suitcase (hardshell), brought them back and they fit and work just fine with the US CMS - I've had no problems

The only downside was because the items were shipped to a UK address I couldn't claim back the 17.5% VAT but there was no other option as UK sellers won't ship to US (at least none that I could find)
