making a door

The door is looking good. That is one sweet table saw that you have there, seems to be quite powerful and i would love to have the pull feature for the blade.

Thanks. The version I have the saw is the 110v so you get a 1800 watt motor but if you get 240 you get 2250 watts but it does seem to have plenty of power and is accurate beyond believe festool has its own version I imagine it to be just as good

Here's the start of the lining bored getting done unfortunately the phone kept falling down so will have to excuse

Here's a bit more work to the door I've done another vid of cutting the boards and fitting will post when get downloaded

I wonder how well that joint will stand the test of time down the middle. It will tend to open up with it being softwood

The plan is to glue and dowel the centre joint the boards will be getting a couple of coats of base coat before been fixed and once fixed will get another 2 coats of top coat, so the outside face will have 4 coats.  The roof overhangs 500mm and protects the walls from a lot of direct rain. Also the door is being made right where it is going to be used so the moisture content shouldn't be to different and should be in equilibrium with its surroundings in service , but will have to see over time

Door looks good.
Nice to see you finally got that window in  [big grin]

Thanks I got the windows in a couple of weeks ago the windows I made myself as well as I got the double glazing units for free

The door looks nice.  Thanks for posting these videos.

You should get an OF2200 for the grooves...

Scot

Not a problem posting the videos a larger router is something planed for the future I used to have the makita but sold it I've picked up the of2200 in the past and found it slightly top heavy but it might be better in use and feel more comfortable. I have picked up the mafell lo65 and liked the balance better but the price is a bit more than I want to pay. So many choices  Evan might just get the Dewalt to put me on if forced to

Here is a pic of the finished door I did a while ago need to sort the linning boards
