I know I'm not one of the more active members of the forum and I haven't read the ENTIRE 6 page thread on the McFeely's issue, but I'd like to put in a plug for McFeely's. I too saw the email on Friday. I've been saving up for one of the Festool drills for a while. When this appeared I thought it was too good to be true but decided to go for it.

The drill arrived today and I'm more than satisfied. My experience with them hasn't changed since I started buying from them a few years ago.

There are pics on my blog if you're interested.

Thanks for listening.

Amazing a Sys2 classic with an attic and a sys1 with parts bins. WOW what a deal....  [eek]

Was wondering if it would come with the sys1 box systainer since the part number listed was M0103 from the 2009 promotion which was supposed to include it. These must have been lost in a warehouse somewhere for the past 5 years. Great deal!

FWIW,
Received my credit for the sold out T18+3. It had to clear the Federal Reserve which was closed over the weekend through Monday. Any who have not yet rec'd it can rest assured that it will appear on your statement very soon, if not already.  Give McFeely's another chance.  The new family-business owners only had six weeks to make the transition from Graingers.  Every one makes mistakes. Almost every company that I have ever deat with has made a mistake.  McFeely's has shown me that they did their best to make it right.

Well, I ordered the T12-3 drill kit early on Friday and called on Saturday and was indicated that I was one that would be receiving the deal.  Called today to get a tracking number from them and was put on hold.  The gentleman on the phone said I wasn't on the list to get a refund, but he didn't have any other information for me, someone would have to call me back.  After a few hours I received a phone call and was told that the website had an error and oversold.  I let her know that I was told that my order would be filled on Saturday, but she pretty much told me too bad that they had none to ship out.  Should I be angry at Mcfeely's or just let it go.  I fired off an email to the President of Mcfeely's letting them know how much I was disgusted with the entire situation, but it probably won't go anywhere.

I feel your pain. My feelings are when I get bad service I take my business else where. They no longer deserve my money.

But no offense no to pour salt on your wounds,

when something is to good to be true, it usual is.

I know the Mcfeeleys is a well recognized retailer.

Even then When I seen the post popping up about this deal or any deal thats out of the ordinary.

i was tempted to jump on it.

But Im loyal to my suppliers .

In the states its Bob and Tom for online and B&M Woodcraft in Stanton and Austins.

Thats it that all I deal with.

Here in the UK its Tool Fix and then only with Mick.

I trust these guys with my money and respect their knowledge when I tell them I want to do this or that sometimes ask what tool would serve me best.

So learn your lesson well, find a retailer you trust and can work with and even though you wont get "the great deal" you wont get hosed and will get taken care of.

The moderators and I discussed it and elected to lock the other McFeelys thread because we felt that the members had adequate opportunity to share their experience and opinions. This thread is headed back in the same direction, so it's being locked. Please do not start another thread on this topic.

While Festool had no role in what happened, please accept my apologies on our behalf and mine personally. As many of you know, I have a history with McFeely's as an employee until 2007.

EDIT - This thread is being merged with the original thread to keep the entire discussion in one place for reference.
