I'm guessing that the US Attorney was one of the guys that didn't get the 50% off [wink]

Okay, so some do not consider McFeely's caused any harm so long as your refunds are credited by 4 March 2014.

However, the United States Attorney see this as online fraud and is investigating.

CCA....Seriously?  Over a weekend?

Am I upset that I didn't get a drill?  Yes.  But I am more upset that the credit cards were charged when there was no stock.  We are all spoiled by Amazon, but I would expect companies that aren't that coordinated to wait to charge credit cards until just before shipping.

Of course, if they delay too much, we can all submit charge backs, and this is something that really effects them.  I believe my closing date is sometime this week, so if I get my bill and there is no evidence of a refund but I have been told the order is not going to be fulfilled, then I will definitely contact the CC company.  Companies with too many charge backs get pressure from the banks...

After reading all these posts about the screwed up credit card situation I sure do wish that if they had to screw up they had sent out their email on a Tuesday so that they would have been able to have a full staff to deal with this and the financial institutions would have been open the next day versus this happening on  a Friday and then festering and growing over the weekend.

I am not defending them.  Just saying that a screw up on a Tuesday could be handled by Wednesday versus Friday bleeding into Monday.

if we only felt this strongly about government corruption in the Ukraine or Venezuela… All worked up over not getting the milk and cookies!

I am irritated that I didn't get the drill and they charged my CC but if they correct it Monday all is fine in my mind. Errors happen and what is more important to me is how they handle it.

I received an email from a Mike Reckers at McFeeley's stating that my refund was issued last night (Saturday ,3/1)at 11:15 PM. I guess we'll see if it posts on Monday.

Yep irritated is a good way of putting it. And I feel strongly about government corruption, too! #multitaskingbaby

Absolutely ridiculous.

I just heard on one of the Cincinnati TV stations that the United States Attorney General will be in the Cincinnati area Monday to hold a news conference. [eek]

He'll announce a FBI & ATF joint task force is being assembled

I have placed orders with several other online "toy stores".  They have taken my order but when the order is not on hand, they do not charge my account until the order can be shipped. They send me a note asking if I want the order to stay in effect. I guess they some somehow tie up the charge, but it does not show on my bank statement.  This thing with McFeely's seems a little different. I have only placed one order with McF.  I had immediate delivery.  but that was many moons ago.  I have had no dealings since they changed hands.  (I guess not since Shane left)

Now more than ever, it's time to call Jackie Chiles.

I put in a call to his firm and they stated unequivocally that the actions by McFeely's are  "lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!"

I just got off the phone with them and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It's going to take some time to provide the kind of customer service we are used to with the old McFeelys.
