So Santa's subcontractors in the big brown vans dropped off an MFT and TS55 from the elves at Toolnut today [big grin]. As I always do, I checked the box before opening for obvious damage but there was nothing to merit investigation. Everything looked fine inside until I went to put the front guide rail support on. It slid across about 2/3's of the way to the stop and then got stuck. There was a big dent in the top part of the extrusion and the support bracket wouldn't go any further [scared]. I checked the box again and see where it must have been dropped on an edge, maybe going into or out of the UPS truck.
I guess I'm not the first to have something like this happen. Do I send it all back and get a replacement or just get a new extrusion sent? After spending $600 on it, I'd rather not have to mess around with replacing the extrusion especially as the stops are factory installed and I'd have to re-do them myself. Either way, I'm not going to making any cuts on it Friday when I open my 'surprise' gift of the TS55 [crying] [crying]
