Masterful! Thanks for posting this.  Yes, and humidor is spectacular, too. I would love to see a video someday on how you made the emblem and top of the box or something else using similar techniques.  Looking forward to seeing pics of the wine cellar. Cheers.

That is absolutely beautiful.  I'm completely unfamiliar with this type of work... Do you use a lathe to get the shape and then hand carve everything?  Or is that 100% hand carving?

Thanks very much, it's turned first on a powermatic 4224 lathe, then carved by hand.

I for one would like a couple more pictures of the detail if you got the chance - it looks pretty special.

My first thought was that a video of the progress of this project would be fascinating to watch. I started turning a couple years ago and it is incredibly rewarding.  But it can also be pretty frustrating, too. (Like trying to master the us of a skew.)
