Shortly after seeing Tim's MFTC video, I proceeded to purchase a set of plans from him. While the build went relatively smoothly, I encountered problems with finding various items that he used. Specifically, I wound up having to change the adjustable feet on the fold down top, so I substituted simple bolt-type feet that use nuts to adjust their height. I could not find any form of drawer "catch" or magnet that would keep the "drawers" closed when the MFTC was tilted, so I ultimately used slide bolts on the fronts of the drawers. Rather than fabricating a "table lock", I used a "hook" type lock to keep the table in the upright position. Anyway, here are some photos of my version:

That is an outstanding build! I know what you mean about finding the right hardware, but you didn't let that stop your progress and you came up with some great workarounds.
Have you had a chance to use it a lot yet? Any comments on how it has improved your workflow?

I actually have two MFT/3's in my shop, so I have been using the MFTC to hold systainers and to do some "shop" projects, the most recent one being the Folding Workbench with MFT-style and Router tops as it's a lot easier to roll the MFTC into an open area of my shop, unfold and use it, and then fold it and roll it back to its cubby, than it is to set up and calibrate one of the MFT/3's. As I purchased the TSO GRS units, I have been able to make "square" cuts without need for the MFT/3's.
Due to the hardware issues that I had regarding having the drawers stay closed, and due to my having been given some SYS-AZ drawers, I am thinking of designing/buillding a replacement that uses the SYS-AZ drawers and also addresses a few other issues that I have encountered with the original design.
In the interim, I have also been using the Portable, Folding Workbench with MFT, Router Table, and Other Tops that is the subject of another one of my threads.

Hi Sandy. I too found I needed to get creative regarding some of the hardware issues. I did find out that Rockler had push release drawer slides and I ended up using them. The table feet and the wheel arrangement, seemed to be more of a seat of my pants kind of job. I left my table feet long and turned the entire piece upside down once I had my wheels on. then I measures the distance up to the highest point of the wheels and subtracted a specific amount for the actual feet plus a bit more to determine how long my legs would be. I found it to be a challenging build and I am very pleased to be using it now. I too am considering building a second one using a different method to attach the wheels and a different leveling foot. But first I need to finish some other projects, like the MFSC ( need to glue down a non-slip mat on the base, and the sys workshop, a few drawer fronts. Overall, I am happy with the plans and the results, just need to figure out the 5mm hole layout with regards to the slides I am using from Rockler. They are good sturdy full extension slides, but the 5mm holes are not where I drilled the holes according to the plans. May have to find some slides with more of the 5mm holes in them.
