New Festool Products 2026

Here's some further information on the new dust collection bag which I think is a particularly brilliant release. Unlike my HKC 55, TSC 55 K and MT 55 saws, this bag can remain attached to the saw when it's placed back into the Systainer...it simply folds out of the way. It's also easier to empty the contents as it simply pivots upwards to open up and dump the saw dust into a refuse container. No zippers to open and no dust bags to remove...sweet.
Will it fit older saws?

Depending on if and how they changed the clamshell that enshrouds the blade, I'm thinking that the way to modify a TS55 (R and F, maybe similar) with the bag will be to source the hose nozzle for the bag and then it might all come together. It's how I hear some people use the TS60 nozzle on the TS55, but I haven't tried that yet.

Very sweet... (y) I am all onboard to purchase the new TSC 55 KS EB as the lightened battery load will do wonders for the handling of the saw.

Recently, I've been cutting a lot of foam board insulation in both 1-1/2" and 2" thicknesses with my TSC 55 K, and in my head there's always been a disconnect as to why it takes a saw so heavy to cut a material that's so light in weight. The TSC 55 K is a great saw but it is heavy and awkward at times. The HKC 55 is simply terrific for framing tasks because of its mobility and light weight while the MT 55 is really the best of the best.
Hot knife.

The app exists to collect personal and usage data from you. No thanks Festool.
It can be a useful app for fleet management. It tracks the locations of tools that are connected via bluetooth. It works for larger teams where businesses can add employees to the company account. You can restrict the data it collects in the iOS settings and additionally in the app. It’s very simple to deactivate location tracking and third party tracking in iOS if you’re not interested in this. These App Store summaries do show all potential tracking options if one would agree to every single request.

I deactivated tracking by third parties, limited location data to when the app is used, and just granted "power tool usage data". I rarely use it, mainly to update the software of some tools and batteries, which can not be done in the MyFestool web account, I believe.

The app is linked to your MyFestool-Account and allows to create repair orders for all tools linked to your account, so it’s obviously linked to one’s personal information that one has used to register the products.

Festool published the technical documentation for the TSC 55 KSEB. From the diagram, it looks like they haven't changed the connector for the Cleantec adapter. There’s hope that the new lockable adapter could be an easy upgrade with spare parts. Someone in my community contacted Festool about it. I’ll report back with their response.

Why though, should you or I have to opt out of these settings? I'd installed this app and eventually came to realise that it was accessing my location data even when it wasn't running as my battery was suddenly being drained after just a few hours. When did I agree to this? It'd be interesting to see how the default privacy controls for this app are set up in EU.

For location tracking to be active, you would have to actively agree to it. Apps generally do not get location data without your explicit consent on iOS. The Festool app asks for the following permissions after download in this order:

- Bluetooth
- App tracking
- Face ID
- Notifications
- Location

I’ll attach the screenshot. Only after one taps on "Enable location access", iOS shows the usual permission screen asking for permissions "once" or "every time the app is used".

So it seems it doesn’t ask right away but only if you're actively trying to use a feature that relies on it.

I don't think there’s a difference between the US and EU. But I can not confirm that.

@P_K I'm in the EU ad my in-app settings are all off. Not 100% sure that is the default, but I think so. I only installed the app a couple of weeks ago and I don't recall changing anything except allowing the app to send me notifications (and that setting is on). The underlying permissions for the app to use Bluetooth, Face ID, mobile data etc. are all on in the system settings though (and I definitely haven't changed those).

There would be an easy way to find out (Delete the app and reinstall it again). I don't think app developers have a say in this at all. I can only speak for iOS, but Apple controls access to its APIs and there’s no way to circumvent this for individual app developers – malware aside.

Video review from Gotools of the new products just posted. German language, but I believe you can get an English overdub. Looks like my TSC 55 K might be at risk of replacement anyway :D

A year ago I did close to a 1000 cuts in PIR and resol plates. A whole bunch 100mm (4") that had to be cut from two sides with the TS 55, then a whole bunch of 62mm (2.5") that required the HK-85 from one side. And then 110mm with most of the cuts being bevel cuts.
PIR panel often close the cut on the rear of the blade; but hey... I only have circular saws WITH riving knife ☺

In my case I'm insulating ceiling stud cavities so I need a nice tight fit...that's where the track saw and rail shine. Straight, precise foam panels that are a press fit in the cavities.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the hot knife either. I want the perfectly perpendicular cuts.

How did you align everything so that the saw cuts from both sides met each other nicely?

Some with a "template" that was was [wanted sizes - rail width] where you just align one side, then shove the rail against and cut, then flip the piece and cut again, a bit like a make-shift MFT.
Some by measuring out both sides.
Some by just transferring the first cut to the other side with a pencil and a small speed square.

But this wasn't for a ceiling but for insulating different types of concrete floors from the crawlspace. The cuts that face the wall don't require the perfect alignment because you leave a gap and foam it shut anyway.

Makes me wonder if the new dust port can also be fitted to older TS saws, a la the TS60 port on TS55 saws.
FWIW...sounds more to me like the older saws will accept the new dust port adapter...whenever that will be released.
