For those who have asked about the availability of 110V pigtails, my dealer here in Germany has checked and he CAN get them directly from Festool for me.

The price I have to pay is €20, which at the current exchange rate is about $27-$28 each. (Hey... it's a Festool!  [crying])

The ID and part number: ubs-pur 420 110 volt, part #494910

I am willing to purchase and bring them to the USA for those who want them. Here's the only caveat... This is Germany, and most businesses close completely for two weeks during the summer for vacation. My Dealer's whole store is closed from Monday the 15th until the first week of August. I have to go back to Nigeria for my six-week work cycle on the 24th of July and won't be back until the 5th of September. I'll be here in Germany for about 3-4 days, and then flying to Florida to sit in my house for the final three weeks of September which is the peak of the hurricane season (Want to be able to protect the house if necessary... and order a pile of "Green" stuff for my shop while I'm there)

Therefore, you folks have a few weeks to decide if you want any. I'll order from my dealer and pick up during the three days I'm back here in September and take them with me to Florida. I'm not looking at making any money on these, so for those that want them, I'll do pricing based on whatever Wagner (my dealer) charges me, plus shipping from Melbourne, Florida in mid-September..plus a buck or two for any shipping materials if necessary. Your choice of First Class Mail or Priority.

Don't expect the same "cost basis" for any NAINA Logo items I'll be bringing back!! Y'all gonna PAY for those! [eek]

I'll need to know how many I need to order in the next two to four weeks.

Let me know...

Frank

I'll keep track of all who want them and how many. Once I have them in hand, I'll post and start sending them out. No pay until I have them.

Thanks

Frank

Hi Frank,

Thanks for doing this. I want to buy 3 of them please.

[thanks]

Daniel

Just a quick update here.

It doesn't appear that there will be any limit placed on the number of pigtails that I can order through my dealer, so just tell me how many you want when you post.

Also, please use the reply function to let me who you are, and how many you want.  Please do not send PM's for this purpose, as I get other unrelated PM's and trying to keep track of who's who via the PM system is difficult.  I will "inventory" the required number around the middle of August and order from my dealer. I'll send out PM's to all who have posted here wanting the items and confirm at that time.

For those of you wanting more than one, it is my impression that there should be no additional shipping cost vs. one, should be able to fit multiples in a single mailing box, or flat rate priority mail envelope.

Side note: WHoopee!  Picked up my PSC420 18V Jigsaw from the dealer yesterday...WITH a 110V TC3 battery charger. It confirms that they CAN get 110V stuff. AWESOME!! [drooling]  I will say that I paid slightly more than what the U.S. price will be for the same unit when it is released in North America, and I won't buy the accessory kit here because it costs about US$100 more than what the same kit will sell for in the U.S. (Toolnuts take notice. I will want one in September!)

Frank,

I would like to increase my qyt to 2 (1st post above)

Thanks,

Joe

Frank, just a friendly caution to double check your part numbers and the pigtail itself before ordering a whole bunch.

Here is a link to an old thread regarding the pigtails and various part numbers:  http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/plug-it-info/

And here is my own thread (circa 2011), where I picked up a bunch in Europe.  http://festoolownersgroup.com/classifieds/plug-it-pigtails-for-sale!/
The really important detail is that some of them, with the green tails, has a socket that is ready to accept the standard Plug-it cords (16g or 18g) available in the US.  I still have a pair of those in the box, and this weekend I specifically checked the part number is 491 145.

The other plugs required a little modification in order to work with US Plug-Its.  When I purchased them, I definitely thought they were the right thing, and it's a very subtle difference.  I vaguely recall that the descriptive part info was identical, or so similar that I didn't realize.

Perhaps the part numbers have been updated.  Obviously 494 910 is more recently 'issued'.  But make sure it's the right socket!  If so, great!  We have a new part number for future European shopping trips.

Not to be a buzz kill, but remember that modification of your tool will void the warranty.

Yeah, but who care about those lousy orange, blue, yellow tool warranties?!  Plug-It is where it's at, YO!

Just a suggestion, for tools that are still of "old" design (eg. RAS, DX93), factory HQ installed Plug-It pigtails would be an excellent add-on service, esp. if it preserves the warranty for a newly purchased tool.

If it's time to call in on your warranty, just swap the original cord back. No one will ever tell the difference.
