refurbed TS55REQ question

I just got an email describing the latest refurb deal, with 40% off for moderately used items. I'm considering the purchase of a refurbished TS55REQ and was wondering if it includes the standard 55" rail, and if so is the guide strip new?

Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of condition I can expect from one of the 40% off units? I relaize they are 100% operational and scuffs/dirt don't bother me, but if there are cracks or other gouges in the tool (or even the systainer) then I'm tempted to just spend the extra $$$ on a new item.

Thanks in advance...

Yes, it includes the 55" rail with a new splinterguard strip.

The condition should be quite good if you order soon, equivalent to what we consider a 20% off tool.

I snagged one about an hour ago, make sure they send a nice one!  ;)
Out of curiosity, are the blades inspected, new, ignored, etc?

I guess I've waited long enough to join the Festool family. Can anyone recommend an online dealer for a reconditioned TS55 REQ?
Thanks

Mark,
There really isn't* an online dealer that can handle recon sales. I'd recommend calling one of the dealers that has mentioned the recon sale here. I got a hold of Dave at the Woodworker's club about an hour and a half ago so I know they are up and at it but I'm sure any of the other great dealers participating in the recon sale can help you out also.

* ok, I know of one, but I don't recommend them simply because the recon sale method doesn't lend itself well to online purchases... I tried it for my last recon purchase but found that their inventory wasn't really as up to date as I would have liked.

Thank You. I've been lusting for a while but at 40% off I'd kick myself if I didn't jump so my saw is ordered. Now I can make a list of accessories for a Christmas list to give my wife.

This is my first festool purchase, got the 55REQ and a C15 drill set.  Can't wait to play with my new toys!  I mean... work necessities...

I stocked up on the Recon tools and rounded out with 40% off a TS 75. I got a recon TS 55 about a month ago and am so happy with it, replacing a cheap scheppach track saw, which got me by until I could move into the world of Festool. With the TS75 I have bought a dozen tools this year, most have been found slightly used or Reconditioned. Went from thinking I would never be able to afford Festool, to owning a dozen great tools within 5 months. CRAZY! AWESOME! I have become such a Junkie, I have convinced my local dealer to look into becoming a testing center, and helping update their displays to better showcase their Festool tools.
