My youngest sister-in-law wants me to build her a riddling rack.  While I can find a lot of info on the net, I can't find any plans.  Does anyone know where I might find/buy plans?  It should be very simple but it's the size of the wholes and the angle that I'm looking for.

No plans but it looks rather straight forward. Hardest part will be making the holes. They are ablong so no dril will handle. I think you can make a pattern and then router to shape or use a large forstner and drill on 45? angle.

John,

After not finding any plans and posting to FOG, I went back and read several articles on riddling which basically are identical.  I then found what someone called a "riddling wine rack" which is a bit of a joke but, since I think my SIL is just interested in keeping the corks wet,  I'll use the forstner bit, about 1 1/4", and that should do it.  Now that I got that straightened out, she wants it wall-mounted with the rack still on a 450 slope.  My lazyman way says to use a couple of dowels to hold the rack away from the wall.

Since you and I agree, I know that the forstner bit has to be it. ;)
