This is by no means a comprehensive instructional video, but it is a good bunch of highlights from a recent training session in which 18 doors were sprayed with waterborne paint by students in our P2F program.
Spraying in vertical orientation at more than HVLP fluid pressure is one of the more difficult things to do.
Tips for technique include: pace, distance from target, hose management, entry and exit to vertical pass, fan overlap, sighting down, etc.
The paint used is Sherwin Williams Cashmere, sprayed through a Graco 395 Finish Pro at 1400 psi.
Thought I'd add this to the archives for folks who are trying to find the right balance in vertical spray applications. It is always nice when we can do horizontal spraying, but in a case like this, it would take a week to do it. Going vertical, it is done in a couple hours.
Video quality is not great, but then its not easy to gather footage in a field based spray setting.
Feel free to post up any questions.
