Well I'm not a joiner but a heating engineer and here is some simple bits I've made, comments appreciated, good or bad.

It's a 2 piece bird table to go around a structural pole.

I think the bird table looks good. I like the finish.

And some of the workshop

Nice shop.
While that cabinet looks like it's solidily constructed, I don't really understand all the different types of wood species used on that cabinet...can you explain?
Tim

The softwood is to be painted same as interior colour in property and the test is oak.

Seems like most of the folks posting pictures are in the Trades.  Personally I would like to see a Forum category for those who make a living using Festools.  I'm constantly weeding through comments since most don't apply to a business owner/operator.  Maybe thats why I post the same question on the FOG and then on the JLC forum.

I understand your frustration. To save members 'wading' through posts. it  would be good to have a special category for Professional Owners of Festools.
I don't earn my living from wood anymore, so wouldn't qualify, but I am gradually equipping with Festool. Unfortunately, ATM two recent replacement knee ops, and a spouse with the same problem, are keeping me out of the shop. So nothing to show at the moment! But things will change!

Cheers
Hook.

This could elicit some furious debate - it might be better to post a new thread with this idea, so this thread isn't taken off course.

OK, take me off the list.  this isnt quite my most involved project or something i am even really all that proud of but it was fun so i thought i would share.
My brother in law asked me if i could make him a 3 ring gimbal with the I.D of the inner most ring at 7"  to say the least he is a very smart guy and is in the R&D phase of inventing something. (ill share more when i get the OK)
Here is what i came up with.  spent a few hours at the end of the day yesterday and popped these out.  it was a neat change of pace from remodeling

I think this would create a type of elitism that would serve little positive value.

One thing I like about the FOG is the variety of viewpoints generated by both Professional and DIY members. The Professionals bring their experience of every day or at east common practice. And the DIY their availability of time to experiment or find new ways or their enthusiasm because they are not being weighed down by commercial considerations. And then there is the occasional post of a project that leaves us all in awe.

Together we all learn.

Now back to looking at some great projects/assignments.

NER what did you use for spacers and did you use nuts and bolts to connect everything? Very cool looking job

Thanks, It just used stuff i had lying around. the spacers were a piece of 3/8" thick solid cellular pvc trim that i used a hole saw to essentially make thick washers.  yes everything is bolted, i believe they were 8-32 x 2" long flat head bolts, i used a flat washer behind the nut.    i didnt have any correct size nylon lock nuts so i used some 2p10 to glue the nut to the bolt (before locking the nuts they were self tightening or loosening when i would spin it )

Haven't been here in awhile. been really busy with some cool projects. most are on my Facebook page. I will post a few pics here. Took this beautiful work of art and covered it for the Home owner. I gave them 9 months to change their mind lol. Oh well

to sketched this

Final home owner painting

Main tool used TS75, Bosch Mitre/Table saw/baby router. Kapex gets used on high end work. Didn't use my DF500 either.
