What about the other 7,000 plus out there?

This pair were finished before Christmas, for a client.  I'm going to start designing a range of a few items that can be batched out from 1" scraps by an apprentice.  These are very strong, despite appearances.

This was finished on Christmas Eve, for myself.  I've been making and painting it for about four months.  Wife was very pleased....at least for a little while.

Thanks for looking.

Mark - those stools are awesome.  Can you provide some details on how you made the seats?

Ed,

NICE LOOKING WORKBENCH, ENJOY AND MESS IT ALL UP MAKING SOME AWESOME PROJECTS !!! [laughing]

Hi Ed,

I'm just up the road from you, in Chantilly.

That bench looks nice.  I can't make out the brand on the vise.  What is it, and where did you buy it?

Rob

Thank you, guys.
Vise is Veritas, twin screw. Very nice vise, probably the  best I ever use. It come with very good instruction - but not so difficult to install.

Ed.

Wow Ed (newinwood), lovely bench. A couple of different timbers used there is it?? What did you go with?

This stair remodel is the most complicated project in my home remodeling list.  I'm nearly done but it was a long road to get here.  No prior experience with stair building  [eek]!  This is my first post so I'm unsure if the pictures will show.

Back to work after the new year slightly early - made & fitted this simple cabinet in a client's cloakroom:

Doors/face frame are poplar with MDF panels. Carcase is birch ply.

I would normally paint this myself, but the client's step father is a painter & decorator, so he's doing it instead.

Since my wife never seems to get one of my creations, I decided to make her a peppermill for Christmas.  Well, it was late, but I did finish it New Years Day, so I guess I have a 2014 project to share:

Dangit! I just built these out of BC last week (leftover flooring)

The song posters were a gift to my little guy from his Aunt for Christmas.  I made the frames to match the floors in his room.

Strictly an amateur dillitant here.

My wife's desk. Cherry and cherry ply. The drawers are birch ply. I made use of some 8/4 x 10inch cherry that had been in the shop for ages.

It was a fun project.

My first built-in project.  I made the first center section 1/4" too wide so I got an extra book shelf out of the project.....

Haha, me too Leer!  I love it.....would like to see more pictures of the hinges and swing from the inside.  Did you use any wheels on the bottom?  I'll bet there were plenty of expletives fired and skinned knuckles hanging that book case on those hinges.  I know I would.  [scared] [blink] [eek]
