Hi...I have a Bosch 1617 router, an LS32 Festool rail (with holes) and I would like to make holes 32mm apart.  Do you think if I bought the Bosch router guide rail adapter, I could use it on the LS32 rail?  or would I need to buy a bosch rail?  With the Festool system, I see where the pin is and can understand how it makes the holes 32mm apart.  On the Bosch adapter, I don't see a pin.

If you have one of these adapters, can you tell me how it works to make holes 32mm apart?

Bosch and Festool rails have VERY different profiles, the Bosch router adapter won't work on a Festool rail. Bosch does make their own version of the LR32 system using a holey version of their rails.

I modified my Bosch 1617 router to fit the Festool router plate adapter using the technique by pillguy in the following thread: "Festool LR32 System and Bosch 1617 Plunge router".  Works great.

Darn...I finally found photos online of both rails with routers on top and the holes on the Bosch rail are in a different location.  :(  Looks like if I want to use the bosch router adapter, I need the Bosch rail.  Luckily, my LR32 rail is in "like new" condition and the plate was never altered so I might be able to sell it locally.  [unsure]    I notice my old posts and I'm embarrassed that I've been "working" on this for so long and never got anything done.  But I'm now really ready for a series of holes in a long line and I've been making some "boxes" that need shelf pins.  So it's time...

At the rate I'm going, I'll be ready in Sept.  :)
