Im currently needing to cut chases into brick walls therefor i looked into aquiring the festool diamond cutting system however I was surprised to find out that it only has a single cutting blade aswell as a relitsvle shallow cutting depth. Therefor this tool is of little use to me which is dissapointing ad I had to by a competitors tool which had two cutting blades and a greater cutting depth.

Why cant festool produce a much more capable wall chasing machine.

Which brand did you get?

erbauer, its the other end of the spectrum to festool, however on paper it appears to have a lot of power and cuttimg depth seems more than adequate. I shall be usimg the tool for the first time in anger and shall report back

Hilti makes a tracked saw that can cut concrete up to 14" thick for
cutting openings in walls.

I thought they had something smaller though with a ~10" blade.

correct me if im wrong but the hilti wall chaser is several thousand pounds. where do you even buy hilti, I dont know of a single distributor

In the YT video above you can see that the saw I am thinking
of is not much more than a circular saw, so I don't think it tops
150 pounds at best.

At any rate you just look up your local Hilti dealer on the WWW
and you're in business.

I would post a link to Hilti's dealer search here but this is a Festool
forum so they probably wouldn't like that. At any rate they are easy
enough to find with a Google search.

I've always received top notch service and attention from my Hilti Rep.
We get all sizes and types of anchors and consumables for tools (bits, etc.)
from them as well as tools.

Metabo has MFE 30 (601119520) WALL CHASER available in the US from Tyler Tool for $689.00 free shipping.  Chase Widths: 3/8 in. / 5/8 in. / 7/8 in. / 1-1/8 in.
