I've been contemplating the DTSC 200 but at the moment leaning away from it. Partially because I was pretty gung-ho when they announced the ETSC2 but when I got to use it, it wasn't compelling enough (for me) to add to the arsenal. Part of that was the 3.5mm orbit, which seemed to just be a middle-ground compromise between the ETS and ETS EC, and part of it was also that I didn't have a real need for a cordless sander.
With the DTSC, I have similar apprehensions but now it's also the need to get another range of abrasives as this is obviously a new shape and size. I like the raking light and I like the idea of greater surface coverage (a la 150 vs 125) but I would be more enthusiastic if I didn't have to invest in a new range of abrasives. Makes me wonder why they didn't just incorporate this rotating triangle design into a new version of the current 100x150 Delta/9?
Perhaps, whenever the DTSC200 makes its way to the USA, Festool will consider offering it as a packaged discount with the abrasives systainer? Price is competitively with the tabless battery set, and I think that would make it a bit more appealing.
